Passenger Carriages

Steel - ex South African Railways vehicles without wheels, steps or undercarriage equipment.

These vehicles (2 available) are surplus to HVR requirements and are currently stored at Pinjarra, Western Australia, on 'shop bogies'. Upon sale, the undercarriage equipment will be removed by HVR prior to collection of the vehicles by the purchaser. Loading and Transport is the responsibility of the purchaser. HVR can provide details of a transporter that has assessed and priced relocation.

Steel - ex South African Railways vehicles - Complete.

These vehicles (5 available) are surplus to HVR requirements and are currently stored at Pinjarra, Western Australia. They are 56 seat passenger coaches with toilets. Bogies are swinging bolster 'ride control' type with anti-friction bearings. The coaches are in very good general condition.

Four others of these vehicles have recently been converted to Train Crew Accommodation for use by Pacific National in Queensland, an example of which can be seen on the HVR News Pages.

Braking system: Vacuum, 2 cylinders with remote chambers. Side handbrake wheels.

This vehicle (SSS6) is surplus to HVR requirements and currently stored at Dwellingup Western Australia. Seating capacity - 72 pax. Vacuum Braking. Centre Buffer drag-hook couplings.

Hand Basins -  ex WAGR Sleeping Cars

HVR has a quantity of these heritage basins surplus to requirements.  

These carriage fixtures comprise of a  cast iron main body with classic nickel plated brass downward folding hand basin with hot & cold taps.
